Toll Free not working is it me or provider

I have 5 numbers all with the same provider Twilio

I have 5 inbound routes all identical in nature with the exception of the DID corresponding to each of the 5 from Twilio.

The toll Free number gets a message that it is disconnected (Allison Smith Voice) the other 4 numbers ring thru just fine, we can make and receive calls over the trunk without any hiccup.

Asterisk shows this:

So with all of that I am at a loss, I have tried everything I know to fix the issue. Our toll free gets used a lot and the previous IT has taken all the steps necessary to open the firewall to Twilio’s IPs and Ports as I have double verified them. And I am leaning towards this being my problem and theirs but I need to know for sure.

Any ideas? There does not seem to be a similar case in the community wiki that I can see. This is a fresh install on a Raspberry Pi from http://www.raspberry-asterisk.org/ . The only things I have done besides loading the new system are to set an admin user, password, and email, and to update and reload all the modules.

Dialing Prefix Not Working - Multiple Companies Outbound From 1 Extension

@bluehive wrote:

We have 3 divisions and 1 employee needs to be able to have outbound CID appear correct depending on which division they calling out as.

So we’ll say extension 201 needs to be able to call out at
555-111-1111
555-111-2222
555-111-3333

Each DID has a separate trunk and inbound route (because if you call 555-111-1111, you get one IVR and you get other ones for the other 2 DIDs). Each DID also has its own Outbound route.

I’ve tried setting up in the dial plan for each of the DIDs to use a prefix of 8,7,6 respectively so that when the guy at extension 201 dials out and wants to have CID appear as division 1 which is 555-111-1111, he has to dial 815556667777 That should connect his call to 555-666-7777 and his CID should show up as 555-111-1111

If he dialed 715556667777 That should connect his call to 555-666-7777 and his CID should show up as 555-111-2222

However whenever he calls out from his extension using the prefix of 8 or 7 or 6 the phone just says “Your call can not be completed as dialed. Please check the number and dial again”.

I am sure I have messed up something in the outbound dial plan, but I am not sure.

I know that I can use Inbound Routes to direct calls by DID. What I’d like to do is have several DIDs point to a Time Condition first and then go to different extensions based on the DID. Is that possible without creating a new Time Condition (and override) for each DID? Thanks!

Thoughts?

@kolhell wrote:

When trying to enable this option I receive an “Enabling notifications was denied” toast. Unfortunately I was unable to find information about this specific issue or what exactly is denying me.

I am on Chrome, on Linux, and I have our FreePBX server on the allowed list for notifications.

Chrome notifications through other sites work without issue.

I have admin access to the FreePBX instance, if a setting in the admin controls needs to be changed.

Specifically I’m looking for a notification to pop when somebody calls, particularly when I have my headphones in, so if anybody has a suggestion of a lightweight solution for this I would be very happy with that. I’ve looked at some other 3rd party software to do this, but they all seems to either be way more than I need (I don’t need to make or receive calls, even, just get a notification) or they handle notifications through a webpage (I specifically am looking for a notification popup, not a new page opening or a page redirect).

Thanks :slight_smile:

Migrate to New Disk Drive

@rymes wrote:

I figured that I would find a thread on this topic, but was unable. I am running FreePBX 10.13.66-22, and I would like to accomplish two things:

1.) Add additional disk capacity.
2.) Upgrade to the most recent SNG7 distro version.

To this end, I would like to copy all of the existing data to the new disk, keep the old disk as a backup, then upgrade the system now running on the new disk. If anything goes wrong with the upgrade, I can just boot off of the old disks and be back in business.

Normally I would power the system down and use an imaging tool like Acronis to copy the old disk to the new disk, but I thought to myself “Wasn’t LVM supposed to make this easier?” For this reason, I thought I would ask if folks here have thoughts on how best to do this.

Presumedly, if I use an imaging program to copy the existing partitions to a larger disk, I can then use the LVM tools to make the existing LVs larger?

Many thanks,

Tom

Hi, I use FreePBX 13 version with asterisk 13. I noticed that once in a minute there is a CPU load. Then I checked “/var/spool/cron/asterisk” rules and detected that there is one line :

That file isn’t commented so I can’t understand what this script actually does. I’m interested in if I change ‘once in a minute’ rule to ‘once in an hour’ what can occur to system performance? I need to know what that file is for.

Trunk Stops working randomly

$

@colin911 wrote:

Hello,

I had a new Virtual Server running Freepbx properly with a GOIP 8 device to manage phone calls by sim. Randomly and after a few days incoming and outgoing calls for the trunk through that GOIP device stopped working. Rebooting the GOIP device had no effect, but rebooting the FreePBX box fixed everything. Both the GOIP and FreePBX showed as registered.

I figured it was my Virtual setup that seemed to disrupt the network connection or something. So I bought box from sangoma for it to run on. I still have the same problem.

Each time it has happened I was not available to pull log files from when the issue happened. This time I did and at least the errors are below.

The sections where you just get this line, the system is working fine: [2018-11-01 14:49:53] ERROR[16654][C-000001a8] res_pjsip_header_funcs.c: This function requires a PJSIP channel.

The section in the middle is where things were not working fine. During that time I rebooted the GOIP machine and enabled and disabled a few times the Trunk to see if that would reconnect it.

Appreciate any suggestions.
